Dev Log #4 - Furniture Shopping


Hi there, I'm Charlie, Obituary's Art Lead. While I mainly stick to the 2d assets such as concept art and textures, I coordinate and oversee the production of all art assets, both 2d and 3d, so that they maintain a consistent look, fitting into the game's visual style. 


This past week has been a busy week for everyone, with progress being made on all fronts. I've put down the texturing for a little bit to focus on the concept art for the props that will fill our levels. While I  am working a little on the slow side with this, I am still making steady progress. My main goal for this coming week is to finish all the props for our first level, and then get stuck into all the props for our second level at the end of this week. Below, you'll see a prop sheet of the current prop concepts I have completed. 


Our 3d modeller, Arnold, has made quick and steady work of these concepts, turning them into amazing 3d models, which will all soon be implemented in game. Gone will be the days of the ProBuilder grey-boxes inhabiting our levels! He's also gone ahead and modelled some of the items you will be able to find and pickup in levels, based off some inventory sprites (not pictured).
